For your consideration:

Another prerequisite of the personal web site, I believe: the infamous links page, wherein I humbly offer a few other places on the Web that you might find of interest.

Wasn't sure what to include here. I don't spend a lot of time on the Internet so I truly tend to explore the same places over and over and over. If anything, this should just be a list of stores, since I do a lot more buying on the Internet than anything. But I'm sure you folks get more than your share of solicitations so that'd be totally unnecessary (and silly, to boot).

Ergo, I present unto you, my wonderful audience, the few sites I do visit on a regular basis, and why:

Once the informidable 3D-CC, that group has merged with Animotions, by itself a gold mine of 3D and game play information. I'd begun exploring the world of 3D storytelling because, well, the concept blew my mind. An extensive library of 3D characters that cover the spectrum. Even if you don't do 3D modeling, you'll get both a kick out of the library and a strong idea of what can be done with 3D software. Plus outstanding tutorials and forums and a cool gallery of member-generated art. Lastly, they have a barrel of links to online stuff ranging from role-playing to video games to comics of all types. You'll definitely find something to enjoy somewhere in there.

This place is a monster, man. I mean, the monster of 3D sites. Of course this is from my personal experience. There could be something out there that makes this site look like a slice of American in a vat of lava. But I doubt it. An absolutely massive store that never ends, forums and tutorials up the wazoo. Coverage of everything the field has to offer. 3D modeling, animation, 2D photography. If it requires the eye, this site covers it. Even I have a small gallery there. Dig in and try not to get lost...

If you stay with me long enough, I'm gonna be mentioning Phoenix more often than not. Nothing has had a greater impact on my creativity and productivity than this forum. Phoenix is originally, and hopefully, always will be, an APA (associated press alliance; go to the site and find out more). Over the last few years, they (under the evil hand of tyrannical JK Parkin — Hi, John!) have branched to the Web. It's a simple gathering of friends sharing stories, art, movie and book reviews and discussing just about anything that pops into their heads. The Patty Pixel story on this site originally appeared in the pages of Phoenix.

The music, man!, the music...
Hey, why not include these? Listening to music's one of the great pleasures of my life and both these places put a smile on my face. Of course there are a thousand music spots I know nothing about. If you wanna school me, feel free to do so. But know I spend a heck of a lot of time listening to music from the 70s. And if you gag, just turn away from the keyboard. That stuff's near impossible to get from between the buttons...

Well, nothing else comes to mind right now. If it does, I can always add it later.

I'm sure that leaves you salivating, don't it?
